Sacramento County, CA – As a winter storm approaches, the Sacramento County Department of Water Resources (DWR) has opened multiple sandbag locations to help residents prepare for potential flooding.
You can get sandbags in Rio Linda/Elverta at the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Station #116, 7995 Elwyn Ave.
Additional Locations:
- Branch Center: 3847 Branch Center Rd.
- Orangevale Community Center: 6826 Hazel Ave.
- A fourth location at 7000 65th Street is ready to be activated if necessary.
How to Get Sandbags:
- Bring a shovel: Residents will need to bring their own shovels to fill the sandbags.
- 20-bag limit: There is a limit of 20 sandbags per visit.
