Rio Linda Restaurant Receives Yellow Inspection Card

During a recent health inspection on Wednesday at Taqueria Mi Lindo Apatzingan, located at 928 Oak Lane, Rio Linda, Sacramento County inspectors cited 12 violations on Wednesday.

Following a reinspection on Thursday, Taqueria Mi Lindo Apatzingan successfully addressed the concerns and was awarded a green placard, signaling compliance with health standards.

Noteworthy issues included improper storage practices: raw meats were placed on higher shelves above prepared foods within a refrigerator, specifically noting raw chicken above raw pork and raw pork in contact with a cheese bag.

Additionally, the inspection report highlighted that a bag of flour and a bag of sugar were improperly stored on the floor of the dry storage area.

Key documentation, including the manager’s food safety certification and the California food handler cards for the staff, were not presented at the time of inspection.

To address these issues, health inspectors conducted an educational session with the restaurant staff on correct food storage methods.

The inspection report can be found here: https://inspections.myhealthdepartment.com/sacramento/print/?task=getPrintable&path=sacramento&pKey=0B69B426-05C7-4F7A-882D-DA2AD9223241,0B69B426-05C7-4F7A-882D-DA2AD9223241

In December of 2014, Taqueria Milindo Apatzingan was reviewed in the Sacramento Bee Where they received a four-star review from writer Blair Anthony Robertson.

In 2015, the restaurant was featured in a story about Central California Mexican cuisine in Saveur magazine.

In 2020, a Rio Linda Online poll, along with data from Tripadvisor and Yelp determined that the best restaurant in Rio Linda was Mi Lindo.
